CHICAGO (July 19, 2017) – Legendary sports executive and National Football League and Major League Soccer owner Robert Kraft has been named the Honorary Chairman of the Board for the United Bid Committee of Canada, Mexico and the United States that will oversee the bidding process to bring the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ to North America.
Kraft has been an important figure in American soccer dating back to the early 1990s when he secured Foxboro Stadium as one of the nine host venues for the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
The massive success of the 1994 FIFA World Cup paved the way for the inception of Major League Soccer and on June 6, 1995, the Kraft family became the founding Investor/Operator of the New England Revolution, one of the league’s 10 charter clubs for its inaugural season in 1996. “He is a leader who saw the potential of soccer in America early on and has been heavily invested in the success and growth of the game over the last three decades.
“Robert Kraft has been one of the most influential figures in modern professional sports in the United States,” said U. Robert will be a great asset to our effort to bring the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ to North America.” “My first exposure to world class soccer and the unique power of the FIFA World Cup came in 1994 when we hosted six games at Foxboro Stadium.
“We’ve developed a very close relationship,” Kraft said of his quarterback. “I don’t know if it will ever be the same, but in order to do what is best for the Patriots franchise long term, I believe it is best to compartmentalize and move on,” he said.
“We truly are like family.” Tom Brady Sr.: Goodell ‘doesn't belong on any stage’ with son Goodell has avoided Gillette Stadium the last two years with no indication he will ever come back or receive another invite to a party at Kraft’s home in Brookline. “Like our quarterback, I am trying to remain positive and look to the future rather than dwell on the past.
Lander has played very minor roles in , and a few other television shows. His response: “She’s my pal,” the pigskin pooh-bah replied.
Tom Brady is married to one of the most famous supermodels in the world, Gisele Bundchen, and several other Patriots have beautiful wives and girlfriends, but the man in the Pats’ organization with the baddest chick of them all is 74-year-old owner Robert Kraft.
He was so determined to support his friend Roger Goodell as he searched for compromises to close the labor deal with the players in the summer of 2011 that he left the bedside of the ailing love of his life.
He was the crucial voice of reason putting an end to the lockout that threatened the season.
Born and raised in Mid-Southern Upstate New York, Stephen holds a master's degree in public communications.

The relationship has been rumored for a while now, with Kraft only saying that Lander is his “pal.” It blew up this morning, however, when this video of Kraft helping Lander audition for a crude scene in an Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn movie that includes stripper characters went viral: Just who is Ricki Noel Lander?
